Dragon Races

Dragons, in spite of the image their name might conjure, are actually divided into six different species, all of which have an entirely unique appearance. The term is used to refer to the original species who stole magic from the gods, bringing it to the world in the form of their derivative 'sorcery.' Sorcery would later become the most prominent type of magic on the continent.

History

Theft of Magic:

More than a thousand years prior to the story, it's said that the six most prominent species of beasts stole magic from the gods who lived in Jotunheim, and harnessed it in a form that they could handle. This later became known as sorcery. However, after enraging the gods, the dragon races fled from Jotunheim, across the ocean. Along the way they were forced to fight against the gods and their countless creatures and minions, eventually landing on the continent of Kiesalhima.

300 years ago, humans settled on the continent. Their eventual intermingling with the Nornir led to the creation of human sorcerers and voice magic. Not long after, the Nornir went to war with the sorcerer race, attempting to wipe out every human sorcerer in existence. This war eventually ended when the Nornir disappeared from the continent.
