Teachers of Death

Teachers of Death are assassins under the direct command of the Kimrak Church headquarters, cited to be used for sorcerer killing, when in reality, they're usually used to silence heretics and those who disagree with the church. However, because the Teachers of Death are humans, it's extraordinarily hard for them to actually kill sorcerers. In fact, very few, if any well-known sorcerers have actually been found to have fallen victim to one.

Overview

Glass Swords

Glass swords, of which there are only eight on the continent, are symbolic of the Teachers of Death. They're made of a special hardened glass that barely reflect light. The end result is a durable sword that is almost invisible to the eye. If the wielder is holding still, the blade is barely visible, and if they start moving at high speed, it becomes almost impossible to keep track of the blade with the naked eye, making it easy to underestimate its reach. This gives the wielder an opening to cause grievous harm to the target. One of these glass swords is known to be Salua's primary weapon.

History

Intended Assassination of MacDougall

The first appearance of the Teachers of Death within the story was when Salua was sent to assassinate MacDougall who, having witnessed something in Kimrak, fled the city in fear. He'd set out to find a power greater than that of the dragon races, and eventually landed on the idea of invading the Dragon's Sanctuary. However, before this plan could be fulfilled, MacDougall shot himself to protect his secrets, and Salua's mission was considered complete.
